An Auction That You Can Help With is a nonprofit that gives low income kids new books to read. Simple, no?

Here is a bit of news about an auction from the website: auctions books for benefit

The Quills Literacy Foundation is auctioning off a selection of autographed books in partnership with NBC Universal O&Os and Borders as a fundraiser for First Book, a non-profit that aims to give low-income children the opportunity to read and own new books.

The auction will include titles from the 2007 Quill Award winner and nominees. The Quill Awards ceremony, hosted by NBC’s Ann Curry and Al Roker, will take place Oct. 22 in New York. Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” will make a guest appearance.

“The Kommandant’s Girl” by Pam Jenoff and “Jamestown” by Matthew Sharpe are among the titles committed to the auction.
